MSTAS'25 Symposium

The 19th Symposium on Digital Design in Architecture (MSTAS 2025) will be hosted by Antalya Bilim University from June 30 to July 1, 2025. Prior to the symposium, workshops are also planned to be held on June 28–29.

The symposium aims to bring together academics and industry representatives working in information technologies and applications in architecture and related fields, creating a platform for knowledge sharing and discussions on current developments in the field. As one of the longest-running scientific events in the field of architecture in Turkey, MSTAS facilitates a collaborative environment where academia and industry stakeholders can meet and engage in interdisciplinary cooperation.

The theme of this year’s symposium is “Symbiosis.” Architecture is undergoing a profound transformation with the rapid integration of digital technologies. Tools such as artificial intelligence, computational design, building information modeling (BIM), and mixed reality have now become indispensable elements of daily architectural practice. This transformation fosters a symbiotic relationship between architects and technology, where technology not only supports the creativity of architects but also introduces new dynamics into their work. Technology offers advantages like providing quick solutions to complex design challenges, accelerating processes, and enabling interdisciplinary collaboration. In this context, architects are now increasingly viewing technology not merely as a tool, but as a partner guiding the design process. Our symposium aims to delve into this complex relationship, exploring both the benefits and potential risks of the interaction between architecture and digital technologies.
