The 19th Digital Design in Architecture Symposium (MSTAS 2025) will be held from June 30 to July 1, 2025, hosted by Antalya Bilim University. Prior to the symposium, workshops are planned to take place on June 28-29.
The symposium aims to bring together academics and industry professionals working in digital design technologies and applications in architecture and related fields, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion of current developments. As one of the longest-standing scientific events in the field of architecture in Turkey, MSTAS facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration and serves as a meeting point for stakeholders from academia and the industry.
Your participation in MSTAS 2025, set against the unique backdrop of Antalya, will enrich the exchange of ideas and contribute to the symposium’s success. We look forward to welcoming all interested academics, professionals, and students to join us in this exciting gathering.

This year’s theme is “Symbiosis.” Architecture is undergoing a profound transformation with the rapid integration of digital technologies. Tools such as artificial intelligence, computational design, building information modeling (BIM), and mixed reality have become essential components of daily architectural practice. This transformation has fostered a symbiotic relationship between architects and technology, where technology not only supports architects’ creativity but also introduces new dynamics in the way we work. Technology offers significant advantages, such as providing rapid solutions to complex design problems, accelerating processes, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. In this context, architects are increasingly seeing technology not merely as a tool but as a partner in shaping design. Our symposium aims to deeply explore this complex relationship, discussing both the positive impacts and potential risks of the interaction between architecture and digital technologies.

Participation and Registration
Participants wishing to present papers orally at the symposium must upload their extended abstracts prepared in accordance with the submission format to the paper submission system (via Microsoft CMT*). The extended abstracts will undergo a double-blind peer review process, and feedback regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be communicated to the authors on the date specified in the schedule. Necessary revisions and, if deemed necessary, additional peer review processes will be communicated to the authors via email. Full text submissions can be made through the submission system until the date specified in the relevant schedule.
Extended Abstract Submission: Extended abstracts should be between 1000-1200 words, briefly indicating the study’s place in the literature, clearly explaining the objectives, scope, and methodology, and discussing the findings. At least 3 keywords should be provided.

Full Text Paper Submission: When developing the full text paper, it is crucial to consider the peer review comments related to the extended abstracts. The paper should be between 10-12 pages, including images, tables, and references. The text must include a Turkish and English summary, each not exceeding 300-400 words. Citation rules must be followed. It is important to download and use the example paper format provided below, apply the format correctly, and include the authors’ ORCID numbers in the relevant areas of the paper. All visuals must have a resolution of at least 300 DPI. At least one author must register for the symposium and attend.
